Kim Carroll founded her design firm in 2004. Her work includes residential and business projects in northeastern Ohio, spanning Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Summit and Lorain counties. She has decorated homes in Texas, Florida and Kentucky. Kim has also been extensively involved in the redecoration of Hiram Inn, in Hiram, Ohio, and Steele Mansion, in Painesville, Ohio.
Kim studied at Cuyahoga Community College, Denison University and Ursuline College. She began her design career by assisting one of Cleveland's premiere designers, and working at the Ohio Design Centre. She spent 14 years at Reflections Interior Design, and 7 years as the In-Home Consultant at Country Curtains, while also raising five children.
Kim says that her interest in interiors began at a young age, when she accompanied her family as they visited historic homes, such as the houses at Greenfield Village in Dearborn, Michigan. This began a love for architectural details and antiques. Art education, beginning with Saturday morning classes at the Cleveland Museum of Art when she was 5, and continuing throughout her life, refined her artist's eye. Studies in interior design wove all of the threads together.
Recently, her passion for interior design has spilled over into garden design. Starting with her own garden, Kim has studied, pulled and planted, reconfiguring one section of garden after another. Working with the Western Reserve Herb Society has expanded her knowledge and given her a hunger for more.
Kim lives and works in an historic Arts and Crafts cottage in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, where the garden continues to grow.
